Le film est sans doute spectaculaire, les effets spéciaux très bien réussis, mais on se retrouve dans les clichés des films-catastrophe hollywoodiens, ce n'est encore une fois qu'une mégaproduction commercielle, une poule aux oeufs d'or pour notre cher Roland Emmerich (The Patriot, Godzilla, Independence Day, Stargate, Universal Soldier). Pas étonnant que ce soit lui qui produise à chaque fois.

Ce genre de scénario est devenu très banal : une catastrophe menace la terre entière, et c'est un jeune américain, suivi de sa bien-aimée (l'histoire d'amour est un must) qui nous sauve ... wa na3oudou lel bayti fari7ina masrourina
